 Antarctica has been chosen as the venue for the 2012 Joint Services Expedition, the two month expedition will see a team of 24 service personnel attempt various objectives on or around the Antarctic Peninsular from their base at Port Lockroy.
Team selection will take place in November 2009, allowing training to commence in 2010. This training will include watermanship, cold weather survival and ski mountaineering as well as climbing and will include a full mission rehearsal to take place in Norway in January 2011. |
